S4S programs were developed to assist participants with their transition into
adulthood. We provide an outlet for youth to learn about social issues and how
to manage independent living. To implement community service, education and
awareness projects, we collaborate with social service providers, faith based
organizations, activists and business leaders.
S4S teen rap sessions, social awareness programs and life skills workshops
attract shy, outgoing and studious young ladies from various backgrounds,
nationalities, religions and race to comprise our steady membership. Our
speaking engagements at school assemblies or youth rallies promotes “achieving
success”. We deliver services through three organizational components:
SfdH, SitC and SitS.
SYSTAS
from da HOOD
SfdH is a pioneering initiative developed as a creative solution to
address the complex struggles of females in the 11-14 age-group living in inner
cities. Our after school programs are holistically structured to provide middle
school students with the necessary coping skills to help them transition into a
high school setting.
SYSTAS
in the System
SitS is the outreach vehicle of the organization and is primarily
responsible for increasing the organization’s visibility within the community.
Targets schools and youth agencies to contract and deliver outreach services and
copy written curriculum.
SYSTAS
in the Community
SitC staff, participants and volunteers
contribute to community service projects that provide relief and comfort to the
needy. These events are designed to foster civic responsibility, social and
public speaking skills and increase concern and awareness about those in need of
assistance.
